Totally Charming

I fell in love with Donni Charm the moment I saw the collection at the show. Super soft fabric adorned with strategically place angel wings, hamsas, and trees of life I knew we had to carry this line in our store. What made these tees and scarves that much sweeter was the back story of how the line was launched.
donni edgedonni forever unisex

Designer Alyssa Wasko started the collection after the death of her father as a creative outlet. Alyssa says naming the project was the easiest yet most heartfelt step of the process. Those close to my father affectionately called him “Donny,” and as my mother later pointed out, she was his charm… thus, “donni charm” was created. She felt that the scarves wrap around you like a big hug, and the good luck charms hang close to your heart.

Celebrities have also taken a very strong liking to Donni Charm and Magazines have taken notice as well. It’s really no wonder because these scarves really rock! So wrap yourself in something soft and sweet this Fall and enjoy the charmed feeling that comes along with it.

Take it easy with WILDFOX

Summer is about taking it easy. Kicking your shoes off, running in the sand, enjoying beautiful sunsets and warm nights. There is no better collection to embrace these days than Wildfox. Wildfox is an American Vintage-inspired women's knitwear brand. Combining great style and unsurpassed quality, Wildfox has quickly gained a following amongst celebrities, trendsetters and top retailers worldwide.

Childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon are the creative force behind Wildfox. Inspired by sleepovers, beautiful books, fairies, dreams, vintage t-shirts and their friendship, the young designers gave birth to a brand based on love and having fun! They felt that things had gotten too serious in the world of fashion, and it was time for a change. They created their t-shirts for every person, soft, baggy, bright and fun.

Growing up in sunny South Florida I always loved bright colors and light weight fabric is really a must. I was seriously smitten the first time I laid my eyes on the WILDFOX collection years ago.

So we say you should embrace your playful side and just “Take It Easy” in fabulous styles from WILDFOX.

Chamak Bangles are Back

"Chamak in my native language of Hindi means to shine and sparkle in a glitzy and glamorous way." - Priya Kakkar

Chamak is the work of Priya Kakkar, a New York based designer with roots in India. She is a graduate of New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology and began her career working as senior account executive in the accessory departments of DKNY, Chanel USA and Burberry USA.

As a young girl Priya was fascinated by her visits to India She spent time at the local bangle shops in the outskirts of New Delhi, trying on every bangle that they sold. Consequently it was no surprise that Priya's line of high end jewelry is strongly influenced by the rich and vibrant colors of India. By blending the lively traditional character of that land with modern sensitivity she fashions a line of jewelry that gives the wearer something special; the Chamak personality.

The Chamak shoplist includes hundreds of independent boutiques and some of the best names in fashion both in the US and around the world. Her designs are also seen in a number of our favorite glossies.

I met Priya about 5 years ago at Henri Bendels in New York City. I was shopping with my sister Leah and Priya herself was there showing her collection. We were immediately taken with her bangles. Mixing and matching styles not only for ourselves, but for our sisters Sara and Anna who weren't with us.

Priya took the time to tell us about her collection even gifting us each with a basic all over crystal bangle saying, "this will add a bit more sparkle."

Fast foward 5 years when I started 4Sisters1Closet I visited a number of showrooms looking for collections. It was at one of those show rooms that I ran into Priya again. We both remembered our encounter at Bendel's and it was then we picked pieces from her collection to carry in our store.

Chamak bangles are beautiful and add just the right amount of sparkle to any ensemble. Getting the chance to know Priya made me love the collection even more.

As Seen In

Inspiration for fashion comes from alot of places. Some people turn to art others to celebrity style. While others look to their favorite glossies. Magazines have a far reach. And most of us flip through a couple mags a week not to mention the endless websites we see scan on daily basis. As a store owner I too turn to many sources to see what's hot. But for me the best feeling is seeing a piece I've been wearing for months before it has gone to press or is seen on one of Hollywoods favorite starlets. Below are some of my favorite pieces that we picked before anyone else did.

Denim Days with Black Orchid

I have to admit I am very skeptical when a new line of denim comes onto the fashion scene. I, like most women, get stuck rotating between my 2 or three favorite pairs of jeans. These days denim brands are popping up everywhere, with prices so enticing you're willing to take a break from your favorite blues. When I came across Black Orchid though, I was immediately smitten. The price was just right and the fit was mighty fine.

Reputable designer Julien Jarmoune has taken his life-long passion and talent to new heights. After extensive research of the saturated denim industry, he realized there was something missing in the market: a basic well-designed jean. Combining his knowledge and sheer determination, Black Orchid was born as a classic line appealing to women of all ages.

Julien’s designs have been spotted on celebrities of all ages, sizes and styles, including Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon, Fergie, Christina Aguilera, Pink ,Kristen Stewart, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani, Demi Moore, Katherine Heigl, Dakota Fanning, AnnaLynne McCord, Hilary Duff, Nikki Reed, Paris Hilton, Kristin Cavallari ,Audrina Patridge and many others. With new designs introduced each season, the list of celebrity fans will no doubt continue to grow.

Summertime Shoe

Whether your summer includes sunbathing at the beach, relaxing on a boat, or just hanging with friends on a warm lazy Sunday, Soludos should be your warm weather shoes.

Soludos are based on the traditional espadrilles that have been sold in the markets and on the beach in the Mediterranean for centuries. Their classic style, comfort, and flexibility makes them a summer essential.

Recently splashed on the pages of our favorite glossies these shoes are at their peak! Airy and light weight they may feel a bit tight when they arrive, but then they stretch to fit your feet just right. The natural jute sole and all cotton upper creates a shoe that breathes, proving that there is life beyond the flip-flop. Wear them with a pair of short shorts or with a romper. You are sure to be in good company with Jennifer Garner and Kate Bosworth both seen stomping around town in Soludos.

Soludos are so damn hot this season it’s no wonder we can’t keep em in stock. But lucky for you, we just received a new shipment! Take it from me a self proclaimed shoe aficionado, these espadrilles are the real deal. So get yours now before they're gone… or at least until that next shipment comes in!

Dana

Hot Child In The City

One of the best things about living in Ft. Lauderdale is its close proximity to South Beach. Last weekend my Husband and I ventured out to a couple hot spots that I would highly recommend.. Picture a single floral arrangement on a long wooden table in the lobby, hundreds of closed roses packed tightly almost as if they were formed into one. Through the glass doors a pool of crystal clear water filled with smooth stones, a floating fountain in the center. The place I'm speaking about is the Setai, a chic, modern and elegant hotel. Surrounded by comfy couches and romantic candlelight. I sipped  one of their many signature cocktails the Saigon Gimlet; their spicy take on the classic.

After drinks we took a stroll to The Shore Club Hotel to dine at their Italian restaurant Ago. Looking out from out table, our picturesque view included the all white cabanas lit up in red, lining the infinity pool. The vibe... cool. The food…. decadent.
But more importantly "What was I wearing?"

The look... Summer.

The Floral Skye Romper by Velvet Heart I paired with the very versatile Desert Belt by Rachel Pally
I topped off my ensemble with the Gaza Beige Blazer by Kova & T; the perfect shade of off white
For my feet I wore Lace Booties by House of Harlow
To accessorize I piled on Vita Fede 5 Wrap Capri Bracelet with Vita Fede Rose Anelili Bracelet
For my bag Balenciaga Arena Giant Hip Bag.
